My Story

All my life I have cooked and had a real passion for food. From a very young age I remember cooking with my Mum and her side of the family, I couldn’t get enough of it … and eating it. Saying this, I never went into Food or Hospitality, I trained as a Cameraman instead, this took me all around the world and scracthed the itch of my other passion which is travelling. This involved going to countries and places that you usually wouldn’t go to as a tourist, giving me a real insight to life and food from around the world.

After travelling for 10 years plus with the job, I was tired and needed a break. My employer at the time was kind enough to give me a year off unpaid with the job to return too. I flew solo to Central and South America, learnt Spanish, travelled the continent and more importantly cooked and blagged my way into kitchens with the basic set of skills I’d learnt over the years. I got completely obsessed while away by cooking for people, I had no idea at this point that one day I’d be cooking full-time.

After 13 months away, I had to return home because of Covid, everything was getting locked down so I ended up alone in my flat. My employer still had jobs, so I was working in the UK and cooking in my downtime. This is where I perfected and tweaked things, I started to get my own flavours and style of cooking, bringing in everywhere I’d been with a ‘no rule’ approach. I didn’t stop for months, cooking near enough every single day. By the end of this period I felt confident enough to start a business, people close to me and people who had tried the food at trial pop ups, said its a no-brainer and a calculated risk, the rest is history.
